At First United Methodist Church, your growth as a Christian is important to us.  We provide many opportunities for deepening you relationship with Christ on your spiritual journey.  A Sunday School Class is a family within the church family. There are many fellowship opportunities available being in a Sunday School class.  Sunday School begins at 9:45am.

 

 

Adult Sunday School Classes

The Agape Class:  Room 204-A: Ages 40 & up. 
This class studies solid Bible based lessons, from the International Sunday School Lessons and other resources. A group of teachers alternate during the month.

This class is a diverse age group. They study topical sources and Bible study

The Josie Goode Class:  Room 203-B.  For all ages.
This class studies the Bible through informative lectures.
 

 

 

 

 
The Seekers Class:  Room 201-A: 
This adult class includes singles and couples that engage in lively discussions of current events and lessons from the Bible.
 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The Navigators Class:  Room 202-B:
This is a class of 30 something's.  Visiting teachers lead topical Bible study and discussion about modern topics. 

 

 

 

 

The Friendship Class:  Ages 60 and up. 
The class is for senior women who love to study and share. A regular group of teachers rotate teaching from the International Sunday School lessons.
 

 

The Travelers Class:  Room 103: Parents of primarily school age children.
This class studies the Bible for practical Christian living.
 

 

 

The Horizons Class:  Room 203-A:  Ages 20-50 years old.
This class consists of mostly couples.  It is a discussion based class that studies the scripture and how to apply it to parenting and life situations.
 

 

 

 

The Christian Fellowship Class:  Room 202-A:  Seniors. 
This class is for couples as well as singles, widows and widowers.  They sing hymns prior to their International Sunday School lesson.  A dedicated group of regular teachers alternate during the month.
 

 

 

The Builders Class:  Room 210-A:  Ages 30-50 years old. 
They study topical sources about current events, social justice and the application of scripture to everyday life.  A regular leader guides the group.
